Liz begins to play Taiko in 1996 with the British group Mugenkyo. Then she receives teaching from Master Kurumaya Masaaki in Fukui and continues her career as concert artist with other professional players as the musician Joji Hirota, developing a personal style of power, timing and sensitivity.

Liz plays not only in Great Britain, but she performs in international tours in France, Germany, Greece, Spain, Italy, Austria, Albania, Ireland, Hungary, Malaysia and Japan.

In March 2000 Liz forms the first Taiko women group in Great Britain, the Tamashii Daiko. The word Tamashii has a great meaning for Liz, which translation is not only “soul, spirit,” but also “the purest expression of the soul”.

The energy and the joy of Liz while playing Taiko comes from  emotional reaction  of the audience and of people attending her Taiko courses.

Liz teaches Taiko in a personal, sincere and inspired way.
